Welcome to the website of Christ Church, Hillsborough & Wadsley Bridge.
We are a local Church of England congregation in north Sheffield. Within our church community there are people of all ages, from different backgrounds – you’d be most welcome to join us.
We know not everybody is able to visit our building at the moment, but here’s a video to help you see how we’re trying to create a safe, welcoming space, for us to meet together at this time:
At the moment, due to the Co-vid19 virus we are having to be flexible and adaptable about when we can gather together in our church building. For the latest service times, please click here.
We continue to share videos throughout the week on this website, on our church facebook page, and the Christ Church Youtube channel. Our Sunday Video Service is published at 9am each week, and then everyone is invited to join us for Coffee Time on ‘Zoom’ at 11.30am – just contact us for the login details.
If you have any Prayer Requests at this time, for yourself, friends or family members, or situations in the world around us, feel free to add them to our virtual Prayer Wall. Prayer requests can be added anonymously if you prefer. Feel free to add comments, or ‘like’ as an ‘Amen’.
Every Thursday evening, at 7.30pm, we are meeting for a short service of Evening Prayer on ‘Zoom’ – this is a short service for prayers and Bible readings, with the opportunity to chat before and afterwards! Everyone is welcome to contact us for the login details.
Our church building is tucked in between the houses on Halifax Road, just opposite Kilner Way Retail Park (Argos, TK Maxx etc). You can also access the church and the church hall via the gate towards the bottom of Foxhill Road (near the bus stop). For more contact details, including a map of where we’re located, click here. If you want to get in touch with us you can also visit our Facebook page.
The Parish of Christ Church Hillsborough & Wadsley Bridge is committed to high standards in the safefguarding and care of children, young people and vulnerable adults. For information on how we do this, including our safeguarding policies and contact details, please click here.
