Safe Families

As a church we’re exploring how we might get involved with an organisation called Safe Families, who offer support, hope and belonging to improve the lives of those in our communities. We link children, young people and families with local volunteers who can offer them help and support. If you’re interested in knowing more, then please speak Rev Helen, or you can visit the Safe Families website.

Here are a few videos to give you an idea about the difference made by people giving their time and getting involved.

Streets of Light

This year we are encouraging people to take part in #streetsoflight

To get involved all you need to do is to decorate one (or more!) windows of your house, flat or workplace, and then leave the lights on or curtains open each evening, so people can see your fantastic displays.

We are asking people to do this from Monday 26th October to Sunday 1st November from about 4.30pm to 9.30pm.

Your design can be anything you like, but please include the words ‘Light,’ ‘Love’ or ‘Hope’ somewhere in it.  Designs can be as elaborate as you like, but they can equally be some strings of fairy lights and a light box!

You can even have your windows added to a trail for other people to follow, or find out where to see other Streets of Light. For more information have a watch of the video, or visit the Streets of Light website .
