A wedding is a great moment in life, a time of joyful celebration as well as solemn commitment. Marriage is intended by God to be a creative, life-giving, life-long relationship. During the wedding service, the bride and groom face each other. They publically make solemn promises in the presence of God and before witnesses, and receive God’s blessing as they begin this new chapter of life together. God’s blessing enables two people to love and support one another throughout their lives, in the good times and in the bad times, therefore as Christians we invite God’s Spirit to help us in this task. Family and friends gather round the couple as witnesses of the marriage, expressing support by their presence and their prayers. This support does not end on the wedding day. The newly married couple will need that continuing encouragement throughout their life together.

Wedding Blessings and Renewal of Vows
It may be that you got married in a civil ceremony and would now like a religious ceremony to mark the occasion – perhaps you got married overseas, or the idea of a Christian ceremony now feels more important than it did when you first married. It may be that you’re looking to celebrate a significant anniversary and you’d like to mark that occasion by renewing your marriage vows. Please feel free to contact us and we can talk about the options available.
